DANA OR MEALS OFFERING TO 500 SANGHA MEMBERS

6th April, 2010: We are pleased to inform you that The Dana offering to the Sangha Members starts today. Please rejoice and May the merits we have accumulated be shared with All Sentient Beings and May your aspirations come true! Sadhu.

An opportunity to offer Dana or Daily Meals to 500 Sangha Members in conjunction with Cheng Beng Festival this month for Venerable Ashak's monastry in the remote area of Qinghai, China.

Prayers for World Peace, Blessings and Tranference of merits for
Donors and the departed will be conducted on a daily basis by the 500 Sanghas while the Dana for Sangha Meal Fund is still available.

Quoting from the Dhammapa 121-122:
Don't underestimate merit! (It won't amount to much)
A water jar fills,
even with water falling in drops.
With merit - even if bit by bit, habitually the enlightened one fills
himself full.

Guan Yin Bodhisattva has great affinity and cause with Chinese devotees due to her kind and compassionate nature and great vows to help all beings to overcome suffering and difficulty.

We can use different cultivation method to emulate the kind and compassionate Bodhisattva and the in depth and great vows, such as reciting Guan Yin Bodhisattva name, the six word great bright mantra, uphold sutra “The Universal door of Guan Yin Bodhisattva”, “The Dharma of Repentance of the great compassion mantra”, “Heart Sutra”, using its concept, “He illuminated the Five Skandhas and saw that they are all empty”, in meditation, or join in “3 steps one bow”, “1 step one bow” using full respect and repentance mind in reciting the Guan Yin Bodhisattva name.

3rd April is the birthday of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, one week earlier, 27 March (Saturday) at 6.00am Tulku Ashok Rinpoche will lead all Buddhists to respectfully bow to Guan Yin Bodhisattva, using the walk one step and bow once, how to relax the movement to achieve the meditative effect, C’han or bowing meditation. Everyone is welcome to learn and practice this method, or follow in the rejoice of merit of one step one bow, support, cherish, praise the practice.

Place: Taman Desa Sports ground, tennis court.

礼拜观世音菩萨

观世音菩萨慈悲愿力与华人特别有缘,我们可以透过不同的修持方法学习观世音菩萨慈悲心深广行愿例如持观因圣号,念六字大明咒持诵观世音菩萨慈悲普门品礼拜大悲忏,修习心经照见五蕴皆空门用在禅修。或参加三步一拜,一步一拜,以恭敬心忏悔心念观世音圣号,礼拜观世音菩萨。四月三日是观世音菩萨圣诞,提早一星期,三月二十七日(星期六)早上六时正卓古阿萨任波切将带领大众礼拜观世音菩萨,学习发松方法,一步一拜利用禅修法,运用在行动中。欢迎各位参加,或以随喜心给予拥护赞叹。
