21/08/2010: The condition in Yushu after the earthquake. Retailers are using tents to sell their things and many residents are still staying in tents. According to some locals, it will take another 3 years to develop the town. Currently, water and electricity are not available in most areas.

16/4/2010: Today our great Nyidrak Monastry Druya Doldol Gompa Tsang's Sanghas and The Great Yogi Master Pema Dorje's Monastry Dogtor Gur Sing Rinpoches are doing Prayers for the Yushu Earthquake victims and to those who died too.
Some of the Masters and Monks went to Yushu Town (about 8 hours drive from the Village), HE Chongpo Lobsang Rinpoche, Tulku Wangdrak Rinpoche both from our Great Nyidrak Monastry and some Nuns from Samten Khadro Ling are offering their assistance now.
Both our Master H E Chongpo Lobsang Rinpoche's and Tulku Wangdrak Rinpoche's families are injured and their houses also collapsed by the quake. The most sadden news is many of Venerable Ashak's friends and relatives were dead and if not they are badly injured.
We continue to pray for their safety and May They Be Free from Suffering. Sadhu!
14/4/2010: We regret to inform you that this morning's earthquake in Yushu town had destroyed 85% of the area. Many of Venerable Ashak's friends passed away, and we have yet to receive any news from Venerable Brother and his family and also the Village Head Chongpo Lobsang and his family due to the severed network connection in the area.
At the time of writing, Venerable village is not affected by the earthquake, and instructions were given to the Sangha members to go to Nangchen immediately to assist and offer prayers to the victims.
We urgently appeal for your kind donations* for the families of the injured and the dead.
